Programs

Something for every player, casual social sessions, inclusive coaching, and pathways into competition.

All Abilities Tennis

South Gisborne Tennis Club has run an All Abilities Tennis program since 2000, welcoming people with disabilities to have a go at tennis. The program is open to schools, disability services, and individuals seeking private lessons.

Lessons are conducted by club coaches on Thursdays from 3:00pm to 4:15pm, or by appointment on other days. Sessions focus on building skills and confidence, learning the rules, sportsmanship, and making friends. All equipment is supplied.

Cost: $15 per person for a 45 minute lesson.

The club also hosts an annual challenge event day around the International Day of People with Disability, usually held at the end of November. Dates will be listed on the Events page once confirmed.
